Fancy coop! Those bees have a nice neighborhood now. Sometimes chickens will stand in/near a beehive and eat the bees as they come and go. I hope that these chickens don’t have a taste for bees.
Thanks for the heads up. However, since there are foxes and hawks a’plenty in the neighborhood, the chickens are usually not allowed outside without adult supervision.
My birds are also not allowed out without adult supervision. Keeps the casualties low. But lord help the bee who finds her way into the coop – immediate snack attack.
I have a big lizard that lives near the hives that comes out during inspections to take advantage of bees that fall to the ground.
